GLOBAL GEOPARKS NETWORK
Our Network is constituted by all the existing UNESCO Geoparks all over the world.
In 2024, 213 territories from 48 Nations are forming the Global Geoparks Network.
These UNESCO Geoparks are organized regionally inside regional networks.
Today, 5 Regional Networks are operating inside the GGN.
OUR MEMBERS
Our Network is an international NGO composed by the official representatives of each existing UNESCO Geopark.
They are more than 300 people, all professionals, experts in UNESCO Geoparks and are working inside GGN on a volunteer base to dynamize and expend UNESCO Geoparks all over the world.
WHAT WE DO
We are a dynamic and living International network meeting us yearly and working permanently together.
Our activities are extremely diverse ranging from networking, brainstorming in working groups, publications, capacity building, development of projects and common tools, participating actively in UNESCO commissions, organizing events, promoting UNESCO Geoparks all over the world through Tourist Fairs, etc.
