The twining agreement between Lesvos and Hong Kong Global Geoparks, signed on May 3rd 2014 by the Mayor of Lesvos Mr. D. Vounatsos and Prof. N. Zouros (Lesvos Geopark) and Mr Alan Chi Kong WONG (Hong Kong Geopark) at the historical town hall of Mytilene. During a meeting on tourism collaboration among Lesvos and Hong Kong Geoparks participated the members of the Hong Kong Geopark delegation Alan Chi Kong WONG, Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Boris Sai Ping KWAN, Geopark Officer and Alvin Sin Pan NG, Geopark Ranger of the Hong Kong Geopark. From Lesvos participated also the President of the Municipal Tourism Board Mr. Ch. Kordonis, the president of the Chamber of Lesvos Mr Th. Kalogrodis, the president of the Association of Tourism Agencies Mr. G. Samiotis, the representative of the Lesvos Hoteliers Association Mr. P. Papageorgiou as well as Prof. N. Zouros and I. Valiakos Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest.

La délégation vietnamienne de l'UNESCO Géoparc de Non nuoc Cao Bang est venue découvrir le territoire de l'UNESCO Géoparc de Haute-Provence. The Vietnamese delegation of the UNESCO Geopark of Non nuoc Cao Bang came to discover the UNESCO Geopark of Haute-Provence.

Un "Réseau africain des Unesco Géoparcs" vient de voir le jour, à Rabat, avec comme objectif principal la promotion de la coopération entre ses membres dans différents domaines. Ce Réseau, dont la déclaration fondatrice a été signée ce vendredi, en marge d'une rencontre marquant la 2ème édition de la Journée nationale du patrimoine géologique au Maroc, permettra de promouvoir la coopération entre ses membres, en particulier dans les domaines de l'éducation, de la gestion, du renforcement des institutions, du tourisme et du développement durable régional.
